The Founding of the tomorrow project
My name is Ann Capone Butler and I am an 18 year old born and raised in Colorado. My mental health journey started at age 11. Starting in 5th grade, I started experiencing depression and anxiety. I continued to struggle with my mental health throughout high school. After beginning my recovery I started to notice just how many people in my community were plagued by the same problem. It broke my heart to see how many people who I loved feel so alone. I wanted to change that. That is when I started researching mental health and working to help the suicide epidemic in our country. I believe that facing this issue is bigger than just me. As a society, we have to start somewhere, we have to do better to support each other. That’s where The Tomorrow Project comes in.

If so many people struggle with their mental health, why is it so easy to feel alone in your mental illnesses? This is where I believe the beginning of the solution lies. When we can have open conversations about our mental health and what has helped us, we can help others regain control of their mental wellbeing. To help normalize these conversations I created a line of products that serve as a reminder to yourself and those around you that mental health matters. The goal of The Tomorrow Project is to show you are open to talk about mental health as a resource for others and to serve as a reminder to yourself that your mental health comes first. Because I believe that everyone deserves to look forward to tomorrow. Through The Tomorrow Project you can be the reason someone can.
